Syncing The Mahlkonig E64 WS to the Mahlkonig Xenia

Step 1: The Mahlkonig Sync App

Download: Get the Mahlkonig Sync App from the App Store or Google Play.
Register: Choose "Home Account" and follow the prompts. This app acts as your central command for recipes and device updates.

Step 2: Onboard the Xenia Espresso Machine

Power & Prime: Turn on the Xenia using the toggle underneath and the top-left button. Fill the tank and prime the system.
WiFi Connection: On your mobile device, connect to the WiFi network named MK-Xenia (Password: xenia.coffee).
Configure: Open a browser and go to 172.16.0.1. Select Connectivity > Configure WiFi and link it to your home network.
Save IP: Copy the Station IP address displayed—you will need this to link the grinder. Return your mobile to your home WiFi.

Step 3: Setup the E64 WS Grinder

Power On: Use the switch at the back.
Startup Wizard: Follow the on-screen prompts. When the QR Code appears, scan it using the Mahlkonig Sync App to add the device.
Network: Ensure the grinder is connected to the same home WiFi network as the Xenia.

Step 4: Enable Grind-by-Sync (GbS)

Link Devices: On the grinder, go to Settings > Connectivity > Machine to Machine > Enable Xenia.
Enter IP: Start a Scan. If not found, select Edit Host and manually type in the Station IP address you saved from Step 2.
Activate GbS: * Navigate to Edit Recipe and select your dialed-in coffee.
- Toggle Enable GbS to "On."
- A blue chain icon will appear on the home screen, confirming the devices are synced.
First Brew: Grind your dose, tamp, and lock the portafilter into the Xenia. Press the grinder jog dial to trigger the brew. Repeat for 3–5 cycles; the system will automatically learn and save the optimal parameters.
